Privacy Policy

Information we collect

Mechanics (account holders): account and shop details, contact information, and — later — the billing information needed to run the service.

Their customers: name, phone number, vehicle details, and job history that the shop enters in order to prepare your estimates and invoices. This data is supplied by the shop; we process it on their behalf.

How we use information

We use this data only to provide the service: to create and send estimates and invoices, to render the estimate page, and to send the transactional messages a shop requests. We do not use your information for third-party advertising.

Text messages and consent

Phone numbers and SMS consent are never sold or shared with third parties for marketing. See the SMS Terms for how consent is obtained and how to opt out.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of subprocessors: Google Cloud / Firebase (hosting and database), our SMS provider (Twilio or Telnyx), and — in a future phase — Stripe (payments). Each processes data only on our instructions.

Data retention and deletion

We retain job data while the shop's account is active and as required by law. Estimate links expire after 30 days, and photos are served only through short-lived signed URLs (15 minutes) — never from a public bucket.

To request deletion, a shop or a customer can contact us at privacy@wrenchpad.app.

Your rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA) and Canadian residents (PIPEDA) have the right to access, correct, and delete their personal information, and not to have their data sold — which we do not do in any case. Contact us to exercise these rights.
